Se avete ascoltato i suoi pezzi di sicuro rileggete più volte sbigottiti il suo nome perché, ebbene sì, stiamo parlando di una donna: Ida Engberg. Un’altra made in Swedish, un altro talento che va letteralmente a sfondare i timpani degli amanti della buona e sana techno. Ammaliata dalla musica e ispirata dai migliori dj di sempre, vuole far vedere che può “menare” (musicalmente parlando) anche più di un uomo e abbattere così i soliti luoghi comuni. Una vera stella del “technone”, nonché fidanzata di Adam Beyer, capo della nota etichetta Drumcode. Venerdì 24 toccherà ai ragazzi di Traintek presentarla e donare questo “onere” al popolo del Rashomon Club di Roma.

Roma – Via degli Argonauti, 16 – Rashomon Club: Traintek non smette mai di far ballare i clubbers della capitale, senza mai deluderli. Dopo Capriati, Lekebusch e Beyer ora tocca a te onorare la serie positiva di successi. Che emozione si prova ogni volta che ti esibisci?
La sensazione che provo dipende al 100% dall’atmosfera che mi trasmette il club. Dipende se è un locale piccolo e intimo o un luogo grande. Questa è una parte di ciò che rende questo lavoro così interessante. Non saprai mai se l’esibizione sarà magica o no.
Raccontaci di come è iniziata la tua carriera, la tua passione, come hai imparato a produrre, a suonare…
Ho iniziato a fare la dj quando avevo 14 anni al centro giovanile, ma in realtà solo per divertimento. Non volevo diventare una dj ma più suonavo e più realizzavo quanto amavo farlo: il tempo svaniva dietro quei decks. Ho ottenuto la mia prima serata in un bar all’età di 18 anni. Un mio amico non aveva il suo dj resident per quella serata perché si era dato malato, allora ho detto “io posso suonare” e da quella notte diventai io la resident. Nel giro di un paio di mesi sono andata a suonare in un grande club con un vero e proprio dancefloor e da lì ho continuato il mio viaggio. Ho suonato molto a Parigi e dopo, in estate, sono partita verso Marbella per diventare la dj resident in un club del luogo. L’estate successiva andai ad Ibiza. E’ stato su quell’isola che realizzai che non volevo fare altro nella vita al di fuori di lavorare con la musica. Così conobbi molte persone che mi ispirarono, musica nei locali h24: praticamente vivevo allo Space e al DC10. La mia testa era completamente piena di musica. Dopo quell’estate, quando tornai a Stoccolma, iniziai a spendere gran parte del mio tempo nello studio e fu lì che iniziai a produrre. 2006.
Quali sono gli artisti che hanno formato il tuo background musicale?
Tanti! James Holden, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Damian Lazarus. E naturalmente tutti gli svedesi: Adam Beyer, Jesper Dahlbäck, Joel Mull, Cari Lekebusch, Pär Grindvik, ma forse ancora più di tutti i dj resident che ho conosciuto per strada. Ci sono così tanti incredibili talenti che meritano tanto rispetto.
Come ci si sente ad essere una delle migliori techno female dj’s? Si può dire che “meni” più di un uomo!
Grazie per il complimento. Anche se non ho ben capito cosa intendi per “meni”. Non mi comporto e non mi vedo come una dj “femminile”.

Rome – Via degli Argonauti, 16 – Rashomon Club: Traintek never ceases to make clubbers dance in the capital, never to disappoint anyone. After Capriati, Lekebusch, Fitzpatrick and Beyer, now you’re up to you to continue the series of successes. Which emotion you feel every time you perform?
The feeling I get depends 100% on the vibe in the club. It depends if it’s a small intimate club or a big venue. That’s part of what makes this job so interesting. You never know which gig will be magical or average before.
Tell us how started your career, your passion, how you learned to produce, to play…
I started to DJ when I was 14 at the youth center. But really just for fun, I never wanted to become a DJ, but the more I played the more I realized how much I loved it. Time just dissappered behind those decks. I got my first gig in a bar when I was 18. A friend of mine was running a night and his resident called himself in sick one night. I said “I can play” and from after that night I became the new resident there. Within a couple of months I was playing in a bigger club with a real dancefloor and from there I just kept on my journey. I played a lot in Paris and later moved to Marbella to become a summer resident dj in a club there. And the summer after that I moved to Ibiza. It was on that Island I really realized that I didn’t want to do anything else in my life apart from working with music. I met so many people that truely inspired me. Back then it was music 24 hours in the clubs, I practically lived at Space and DC10. My head was totally full with music. After that summer when I got back to Stockholm I started to spend a lot of time in the studio and thats when I started to produce. 2006.
What are artists who formed your musical background?
So many! James Holden, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Damian Lazarus and of course all the Swedes Adam Beyer, Jesper Dahlbäck, Joel Mull, Cari Lekebusch, Pär Grindvik, but maybe even more all the super passionated resident djs I met along the road. There are so many amazing talents that deserves huge respect.
How does you feel to be one of the best techno female dj’s? I can say you “stamp” more than a man!
Thank you for the compliment. Even if I’m not sure if I understand what you mean with “stamp”. I don’t really go around and see myself as a “female” dj.
